i have a suggestion…. you know how we can edit our subscriptions? the “delete” column should be a series of checkboxes. i was deleting some of my subscritpions because people changed xangas or stopped posting, and it sucked ’cause after i deleted one it went right back to the first page of my subscriptions.. and i had to click “next” a few times just to get to where i was at, then scroll down, delete… over and over. can ya make it easier?! pleeeeeease?

Lego Thriller….
On the one hand it was nice to relive the music and magic I felt when it first came out. I didn’t have cable then so had to watch it on Friday Night Videos. The dance sequence with all the ghouls was very well executed.
On the other hand, the part where they were walking and walking and wallking, was a little uninspired.
Haven’t had a chance to look at the other goodies. All in good time…

Small point of annoyance about Xanga:
Some of the flash ads that are displayed on Xanga, especially the ones that are displayed when writing a new entry, are extremely CPU-intensive.. to the point where I can’t type an entry unless I disable the flash plugin. It’s not my computer–it’s a dual 500Mhz PIII with 1GB RAM… I think its highly counterproductive to have ads that people won’t want to view/can’t use the site because of it. It’s also incredibly annoying. If you could talk to your ad provider that would be nice… thanks!

Same thing with me. ^^^ It’s spreading like wildfire! It happens when I try to access my xanga claf, and anyone else’s. Ugh this is really annoying.
To be all serious? I was perfectly content with my all on one page look and feel. My computer isn’t exactly the best in the world. Link after link after load after load, Isn’t there someway you could put on an option of which version you wish to use? Was it that hard? I could deal with the extra signing in, but it just seems un-needed. Sure, some like it, but some seem not to. Give us the option. I’m a retard. I was perfectly happy with xanga, and then you throw this major page after page change at me. Sure, the updated colors was neat, but obviously since you had a page full of codes in the first place, it shouldn’t be so hard to add on more. You guys just didn’t think out everything, everyone else has to deal with your changes, and I guess your idea of the success wasn’t as high as you planned.
-I agree with Relentless_Faith.
-When I wanted to change my layout with the old look and feel, I could sinply just paste the code in my header and it worked. Now, it comes up all weird and my site completely screws up. Like stated above, all the different pages for everything seems completely unneeded. It just makes things harder for those who have slow enough computers.
-On the old look and feel, you didn’t have all those example pictures cluttering the page. If someone wants to preview what colors they selected before they preview the whole site, they should have looked what color they clicked. The extra hexcodes are nice, but wouldn’t it have been simple enough to add that to the old one?
-When I go to the new look and feel, I just feel like I am being considered an idiot who knew nothing of how it should work, with all the explainations of things that shouldn’t need explaining.
-Now with this new stuff, I can’t even change how I want my xanga to look, without going back to the old boring stuff… just a plain xanga. I tried to change it up a bit and it came up with all my coding as text, making my site really ugly looking! I went back to fix it back, and changed it to exactly what I had it as before, and it did the same thing! I closed the window completely and thankfuly none of that stuff was saved, but now how am I supposed to go and change around my layout?
-As for the extra security stuff…. I don’t enjoy having to sign in all the time! Hence the reason I check “remember me” when I sign in.
To conclude, I was much more comfortable and content with the old look and feel. It made perfect sence, was convenient for me to use, and worked how I wanted it to. I highly suggest that we be able to choose which version we like better, since some of us like the new way, and some of us will never like it. It only seems fair, in my opinion, that we should be able to use which version of the look and feel suits us best.
Isn’t it cool that you know how to do everything on xanga? Or at least everything you know of…

Can I comment on one more thing?
When I change stuff in my header… I have to save all of that stuff before I can change the background color. I want to be able to change and preview both at the same time without saving one, and then going to the next page and previewing it… just to find out it’s not how I wanted and have to go back and change the other page again. I got it to work, it’s just a bit of a hassle when you type stuff in, and then click the background link, change your background color and find that everything you did in your header is gone…. wish I would’ve know that before.

Hey, could you help me with something?
When I changed my layout… my drop down list of links stopped working, and I don’t know why. When I click “Go” it doesn’t do anything but say “Error on page” on the lower left corner of internet explorer. Maybe I copied and pasted it wrong, but I have no idea. It was working before. My cousin tried putting it on his site too, but it didn’t work there either.
I’d be forever grateful if you could help…
wow, that girl from the lego thriller sure took her time to scream…mwahahahha. Man, that lego animation must of took forever to finish (someone’s either a crazy fan of that song or has too much time….ahhh the lego-ness-rofl-). Nice clip but the diving penguins out shinned the animation….the dive pool….i want one like that …..and some penguins too….if only I have an army of those birds….O_0….if only…..

<li>Listing (and storage?) of more than 255 comments (case in point)
<li>Subscription to more than 8 blogrings at a time
<li>(Maybe it’s just Moz) Less bugs in the “Edit HTML” field — i.e., placement of the text cursor
<li>Storage of just a couple more images…
<li>Designated storage for a background image
Maybe a few of those are reserved for premium members, but I thought I’d mention them just in case.
<legend>For the Script Kiddies
<li>More direct access to Xanga-served profile images (i.e., the image’s filename as opposed to some random number)
<li>More direct access to individual components of the layout (e.g., the side navigator, the individual posts’ layout code, etc)
<li>Less restrictions on code (specifically CSS position absolute and JavaScript intervals and timeouts)… they can always be spoofed, but it’s annoying as hell to do so
Also, on a social level, I fail to dismiss the slight possibility that somehow, something can be done to help those young women who use Xanga for anorexic/bulemic blogrings. It’s a sad aspect of life and of the use of Xanga, but these girls seem to derive inspiration from their Xanga-built connections. It’s very difficult to break these bonds as an outsider who “doesn’t understand” them, and I know they have some sort of right to destroy themselves, but something must be done to stop it.
And that’s it for me. Other than these, I commend you guys again for being as insanely smart and creative as you are, for the friendly Xanga interface, and for all the new developments going on.
